Straight from this year’s Gardner Report:
We recently attended Matthew Gardner’s economics report in Seattle. The focus was on real estate and the Pacific Northwest. A group of luxury real estate agents attended and we found his section on foreign investment in U.S. real estate interesting. Not surprisingly it’s on the rise.
And while Washington State may not a hotbed of foreign investment like California, Arizona, or Florida, our rate of growth towers above the giants. None come close to our 400% increase in international investment. As you might guess, Canada leads the shopping spree.
Hmm. Just realized there’s only a one-letter difference between “giant” and “gnat.” Maybe Washington should invest in an “i.”
